On the 13th of March, 2017, the IB class of 2018 launched their sponsored walk campaign in support of their class CAS project dubbed “Hive”. As the purpose of Hive is collaborative work towards a common goal, the entire community of SOS-HGIC as well as invited guests and parents headed out at 6:15am for a 9.4km walk.
The entire journey was full of thrills, chills and excitement as we experienced the serene atmosphere that the best of nature had to offer. The pathway had been marked across the 4 divisions of Tema; Tema West, Tema Central, Tema East and Tema North. There were 4 statins set up at different vantage points along the way, to provide refreshments and some encouragement to each participant.
To crown the day, amazing prizes were given to the first group of people to make it back to the hostels. Afterwards, to replenish our energy, we enjoyed a special brunch of a selection of delectable Ghanaian Dishes.
