Please accept warm greetings from the management of SOS-Hermann Gmeiner International College and hope you are well and staying COVID-free.
Our well laid out plans for this year’s entrance exam have been greatly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and unforeseen directives from government, which we are obliged to abide by; the days ahead are still filled with unforeseen unknowns. We thank you very much for your patience during these unprecedented and trying times.
Please be informed that due to the partial lockdown in Ghana declared by the President of the Republic on Friday, 27th March 2020, the schedule for the local entrance examination can no longer be followed. The entrance exams scheduled for 25th April 2020 has therefore been cancelled and a new date, most likely in May 2020, will be communicated to you as soon as we are very clear on the way forward. At the moment, we are monitoring happenings in the country and will await further directions from the government of Ghana.
However, should the partial lock down continue, especially the provision on public gatherings of not more than 25, we will explore other alternatives for assessment and will communicate this to you as soon as possible.
For now, all candidates should be rest assured that a fair process will be followed in any event.
Please encourage your ward to follow all the hand washing and social distancing protocols put in place and also continue preparing for the entry exam into SOS-HGIC.
We thank you for your patience so far and continued interest in SOS-HGIC.
