The Alumni Office is dedicated to connecting alumni of HGIC with each other, and with the school, to fulfill the motto

 

Mission

To be strong, impactful network of professionals who continue to embody the philosophy of the school, through supporting both the school and its alumni.

Committed to programing and events that fulfill the mission of the office, the Alumni Office works tirelessly to connect alumni and fulfill the following:

with the school and each other

 across borders and class years

to create learning opportunities 

that ensures a strong inheritance

            Programming

The Alumni Office has a couple of programs for alumni

Quarterly Networking Sessions that allow alumni to catch up with each other.

An informal dinner that allows alumni to glean nuggets of wisdom  from Alumni Parents.

Head Of Department for ICT, Technical Support

Abdi Abdullahi, Class of 1997 is the Head of the Technical Support Department. He manages and directs structural and infrastructural technology integration and support for all staff and students.

Head Of Department for ICT Teaching and Academics

Mandy Ndoro, Class of 2005  is the Head of the Information Communication Technology Department. She is in charge of managing the Information Technology Teaching and Academics Department.

Alumni Relations Director & Communications Director

Flossy Azu, Class of 2005 works as the Head of Communications and has been pioneering the Alumni Office since 2017. She also teaches Thinking Skills and Reading Seminar.

Asst. CAS Coordinator & Hostel Tutor

Malik Torbay, Class of 2012 works with the CAS Department and the Boarding Unit. He is an asset in student care and also handles logistics and operations for CAS. 

EE Coordinator & History Teacher

John Kamau, Class of 2003  is a member of the Humanities Department, teaching History. He also leads the IB Diploma’s Extended Essay requirement.

Librarian

Winfred Wuli, Class of 2009 works in the Library. He also liaises between the school and his hometown Aklamador, for CAS projects, as the school has maintained a strong CAS relationship there.

Facilities Manager

Gloria Suraj-Korley, Class of 2004 is the Facilities Manager at SOS-HGIC. She is in charge of projects, and managing many of the operational logistics of the school.
