Mrs. Eliz Dadson

Eliz graduated with an MSc degree in Information Systems and Technology from City University, London and then also completed an MPhil in Information Science there. She worked at a number of city of London firms before cross-training to teaching, where she gained her PGCE in ICT at Canterbury Christ Church University College in the UK. Eliz has over fifteen years’ experience in both teaching and management roles; she has just completed her NPQH (National Professional Qualification for Headship) and holds a Penta Level 1 and 2 BSO (British School’s Overseas) inspector qualification. Eliz is passionate about sharing the delights of technology to her students and using it to improve whole-school achievement.

Eliz writes: “It is a joy and privilege that I have joined SOS-HGIC. Having worked in top high-achieving schools, I am enjoying working with the range of students here. It is a pleasure to collaborate with such a dedicated and hardworking team of professionals. I joined the teaching profession to make a difference; the students at SOS-HGIC are positive learners and they display an impressive maturity. I am looking forward to guiding them to achieve their goals and potential.

I lived in Abu Dhabi for the last nine years having moved from leafy-green Royal Tunbridge Wells. There I was a Curriculum Leader for ICT at Tunbridge Wells Girls’ Grammar School (TWGGS), one of the leading girls’ grammar schools in Kent, UK. I worked as an education advisor on the ambitious UAE education reform project, before joining Brighton College Abu Dhabi (BCAD) in 2012. Initially, I led the VLE and Management Information System projects before being promoted to the role of Deputy Head Academic in the Senior School, a position I held until I started at Cranleigh in Sept 2015. Returning to Ghana after 25 years is the fulfillment of a long-term vision; I am keen to bring the best of my skills and experience to SOS-HGIC.”
