Celebrating 10 Years of Partnership! 🇬🇭🇩🇪

This year marks a decade of meaningful collaboration between SOS-HGIC and Cologne International School, Germany. Since 2015, our partnership has fostered enriching student exchange programmes that celebrate cultural diversity, inspire community engagement, and strengthen our shared values as IB World Schools.     Through these exchanges, students have developed a deep appreciation for each other’s cultures while supporting local communities through various CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) initiatives.   As part of the 10-year celebration, our visiting friends from Cologne shared their wonderful experiences in Ghana, introduced us to elements of their traditions, and surprised us with delightful treats. Back to The Roots: The Sankofa Arts Festival 2025

Sons & Daughters: Drama Production 2025

After six years, the SOS-HGIC stage came alive once again with colour, rhythm, and emotion as students presented a powerful performance of JC De Graft’s Sons & Daughters. From the first cue of the lights to the final bow, the production captured the audience with its humour, energy, and heartfelt storytelling. Changing Lives—A book at a time: The READS Project Commissioned

On Friday, 15th August 2025, a delegation from SOS-HGIC travelled to the Volta Region for the commissioning of The READS Project at Anlo Awomefia Senior High School. The project, organised by a group of 14 students led by JoyNelly Djokoto-Gligui (DP1), marks a significant step in expanding access to educational resources and promoting a reading culture among students. Our students have made us proud, and their achievements are truly commendable. These remarkable examination results should be celebrated as we take pride in their hard-earned success. On Friday, 24th May, staff and students gathered in the Margaret Nkrumah Hall to celebrate the retirement of three extraordinary teachers with an elaborate surprise party. Innovation Ignited: SOS-HGIC Consortium Business Fair

“The Consortium Business Fair was a great success that brought together students, guest entrepreneurs, and members of staff in celebration of innovation and enterprise. Through interactive speeches and student-led mini businesses, students gained practical exposure to entrepreneurship and the event empowered students with real-world skills in marketing, financial management, and communication. It ultimately ended in a vibrant raffle, with the fair not only highlighting student talent but also strengthened the school’s culture of initiative and creativity.”

Our students have once again proven that they are a force to be reckoned with! Representing SOS-Hermann Gmeiner International College at the prestigious THIMUN Qatar Model United Nations Conference, our delegation demonstrated exceptional skill, diplomacy, and confidence on an international platform.
