The Process:

  2. Applicants who pass the entrance examination are invited to the admission interview

The IB Diploma Programme

SOS-HGIC was the first school in Ghana to offer the IB Diploma Programme (DP) in 1990 and we have enjoyed excellent results to date.  We are a four-year IB Continuum school and all our MYP students are expected to progress into the DP. As a result, we have very limited spaces for direct entry into the diploma programme. The Diploma Programme (DP) provides a challenging, internationally focused, broad, and balanced educational experience for students aged 16 to 19. The programme is designed to equip students with the basic academic skills needed for university study, further education and their chosen profession. Additionally the programme supports the development of the values and life skills needed to live a fulfilled and purposeful life.

We will use an entrance exam to recruit the direct entry students. This would be followed by an entrance interview which the student must pass. Direct-entry IB DP applicants will write an age-appropriate exam in Numeracy, Literacy, and Science as well as a computer-based exam designed for children who are at least 16 years old and have completed five years of full-time formal education.
