Wellness Day was created to introduce both students and staff to the concept of mindfulness to the SOS-HGIC community, and teach effective coping skills that we can use to alleviate the stresses of daily life. We were joined by Nana Amoako-Anin of Bliss Yoga Accra, who shared stories about her mindfulness journey in a talk titled “While You Keep Doing Your Best, Take A Long, Great Exhale", and led the community in exercises over the course of the day. Through mindful meditation and mindful breathing exercises, as well as a gratitude circle and journaling hub, students and staff were given the opportunity

As the popular saying goes “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”. Leading up to "International Workers' Day," staff at SOS-HGIC commemorated the day by organising our ‘’Staff Dress up Day 2022’’ in which staff members dressed up in a different profession of their choice. The event was spiced up with several activities such as a dancing competition and a costume exhibition. Prizes were awarded to the best dressed staff and the best dressed department. Here are some photos to share with you.
