The ESAF Youth Power Summit is a youth empowerment program aimed to support young people to strengthen their initiatives as well as foster a culture of youth involvement in Africa. Over 40 participants from 17 nations attended the summit. The youth leaders acted as mentors, listening to the teenagers' proposals and providing constructive feedback. The summit provided an opportunity for young changemakers to create and expand strong networks across the continent and even beyond.   Gloria and Lucky Ponchak, siblings at SOS-HGIC, had the opportunity to present their project which focuses on environmental protection, philanthropy, and deforestation. ‘Yurlim’, a Dagbani word meaning ‘love’, was aptly chosen for this initiative's name. This foundation was founded by a group of DP1 students and catered to the social and emotional needs of teenagers and encourages them also to practice self-love for the entirety of their lives.   The Yurlim Initiative was launched on Thursday 5th January 2023 at the Labadi Beach Hotel. The Launch included an interview with the founders, Natasha Nettey, Fafali Godzi, Phoebe Nkrumah, Davina Adjei, and Nuna Agbodza, where they spoke about their plans for the future, which included talks and workshops with teens and pre-teens. The Book Launch of Natasha N. Nettey’s book titled , “It’s Your World, Evangeline!” took place on Thursday, 5th January, 2023 at the Labadi Beach Hotel. The Launch was chaired by His Lordship Yonny Kulendi, Justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana and the Master of Ceremonies of the event was Mrs. Anita Erskine, talk show host of ‘Sheroes of our time’. The Launch included book recommendations by Mrs Eliz Dadson, principal of SOS-HGIC, Mrs Elizabeth-Irene Baitie, award winning author of fiction for children and young adults, Ms Beryl Stanley-Marbell, owner of Sytris Bookshop, as well as a book review by Dr.
