IB DP2 Results – Resilient Class of 2021

IB DP2 Results – Resilient Class of 2021

The resilient class of 2021 have excelled themselves, and we are suitably impressed. We would like to congratulate all 98 students in the IB DP class of 2021 on their examination results; we are very proud of them and they should celebrate this moment and take pride in their achievements and examination success.

All our students are a credit to the college and their families and deserve honorable mentions but space does not permit this, however, I would like to single out one student who has achieved the rare and outstanding perfect score of 45!  Congratulations Victoria Ashley Na’dom Quartey, well done!

In other exciting news, this year, we had 12 students (12%) achieving aggregate grades between 40 and 45; this is equivalent to attaining 4 to 5 A*s at A level according to the University College Admission Service (UCAS) UK Tariff Points. This level of attainment opens doors to the world’s top universities, including Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard and Stanford; we are delighted that so many students have hit this high bar this year.  For those who want to study in our excellent institutions in Ghana and Africa, these grades pave the way to the most competitive courses that demand the highest entry requirements.

34 students (35%) also achieved aggregates between 35 and 39,  meaning that in all we had a total of 46 students who gained close to or more than the equivalent of three As at A level, which is a record for the college.

40 students (41%) gained aggregates between 30 and 34.  10 students (10%) achieved aggregates between 24 and 29 with no student achieving an aggregate below 24.

These are excellent results, but in the kind of year we and our students have had, it is nothing short of outstanding. We are immensely proud of our staff and students who worked hard to achieve these grades especially at a very difficult time for them.  We are very grateful for the support we have had from parents and share in your joy at this time of celebration. We wish the resilient class of 2021 all the best as they embark on their further study options and university courses.  We feel sure that these results alongside the experiences they have had while at SOS-HGIC will ensure that they succeed in all their future endeavors.

Please see the breakdown over the past years.
