SOS-HGIC Christmas Concert 2022

The annual school Christmas concert was a festive and joyous occasion filled with music, dance, and cheer. The Magaret Nkrumah Hall was filled to capacity with students, teachers, and parents all eager to participate in the holiday celebration. The concert began with a performance by the school choir, who sang a selection of classic Christmas carols. Their beautiful harmonies and joyful expressions added to the concert’s festive atmosphere. Next, the mass choir took the stage, performing a medley of holiday tunes. The students’ skillful playing and precise timing delighted the audience and set the tone for the rest of the concert.

Before intermission, the DP 1 class launched their class project dubbed Nebula which would focus on improving classroom infrastructure for students in Tema Community 8 No 4 Basic schools.

The highlight of the evening was a performance by the school dance club, 8 counts, who performed a lively and energetic routine set to a medley of popular African songs. The dancers’ graceful movements and cheerful smiles added to the festive spirit of the concert. The concert concluded with a performance by the DP2 trio, Maimuna Iddrissu, Darlene Barth, and Danielle Darku who invited the audience to  participate  with a closing song of “Feliz Navidad.” The students’ talent and dedication to their craft were evident in their engaging and authentic performances.

Overall, the school Christmas concert was a resounding success, bringing joy and cheer to all who attended. It was a wonderful reminder of the magic and wonder of the holiday season, and a celebration of the talented and dedicated students at the school.
