A group of alumni from SOS-HGIC recently gathered with students to discuss issues related to masculinity and femininity. The gathering was split into two separate forums, one for men and one for women. The men's forum, dubbed "Brotherhood and Beyond: Exploring Models For Male Excellence" was held in the dining hall. The group discussed issues related to manhood and masculinity. Former students of SOS-HGIC returned to their alma mater to attend the national day. The event featured a variety of cultural performances, including traditional dances and skits, as well as a diverse selection of dishes from around the world. The alumni were excited to reconnect with the school community. Paul Forjoe, an artist and alumnus of SOS-HGIC, returned to his alma mater to lead the Poetry/Spoken Words Community Action Service (CAS) group. The Poetry/Spoken Words CAS group was created to provide a platform for students to express themselves creatively through poetry and spoken word.  Under Paul’s leadership, the Poetry/Spoken Words CAS group has flourished. Paul brings his years of experience in the arts to the group, helping students develop their writing and performance skills. The recent Alumni Advisory Council meeting was a productive and collaborative gathering of school staff and alumni. During the meeting, we discussed the objectives of the alumni office and reviewed our past events and activities while also discussing upcoming events. The discussion was focused on fostering a sense of community among alumni, promoting the school's values and traditions, and supporting current students and faculty. We also brainstormed ways to improve these events and incorporate the suggestions of alumni attendees in the future.  The meeting was a great opportunity to increase alumni engagement and participation, and we left with a clear
